convert to webassembly or close down the game. So once flash has been removed no website that still uses flash will be running as no one will be able to get on those sites no matter what browser u use. so Flash could be gone within a year as most browsers no longer support flash and that includes slim browser as thats just a version of chrome with a lot les security on it to make it faster.
Windows and mac will also do an update to remove flash from every system before the end of 2020. its not a plugin like flash and JAVA its programmed into the browser itself and uses JAVA as its base programing as webassembly and JAVA r merging. In order to preserve user security, once Flash is no longer supported by Adobe security patches, no version of Firefox will load the plugin."įirefox, Chrome and Edge have already switched to webassembly. "Flash will be disabled by default for most users in 2019, and only users running the Firefox Extended Support Release (ESR) will be able to continue using Flash through the final end-of-life at the end of 2020. We will remove Flash completely from Chrome toward the end of 2020." "Chrome will continue phasing out Flash over the next few years, first by asking for your permission to run Flash in more situations, and eventually disabling it by default. They have all announced in their blogs that there will be a complete removal and you can see the links bu opening the announcement in the original post. You will not be able to use Flash after 2020 in any of the major browser. Yes Windows Phones do not have Flash but neither do any iOS devices but Puffin has always worked fine there. What is not true? Puffin does not use local Flash for anything and it's complete cloud running behavior is described on their website. But since Flash is getting worse with every version, I wonder if it will work at all at the end. We will be able to use Flash same way that Puffin uses obsolete Flash now.
After 2020 Flash will work as well (or as bad) as it does now, but it will not get update, support and download will be removed. As I use WP, only way to do it is via some remote desktop.
That is reason why Puffin doesn't work on Windows phones, since Flash was dropped before WP. In order to work, browser must use local Flash, and Puffin uses old version of Flash, from before Adobe dropped Flash for phones.
